Phoenix, Arizona-based Premier Care and Rehab Expands Executive Team
Marjorie van der Wagen Selected as Director of Admissions and Marketing; Thomas Ballard Promoted as Administrator of the Skilled Nursing Community
PHOENIX, AZ, June 12, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Premier Care and Rehab at Chris Ridge Village in Phoenix, Arizona announced today that Marjorie van der Wagen will be the newest member of its Executive Team. Marjorie will be inheriting Thomas Ballard's role as the Director of Admissions and Marketing, as he was recently promoted as Administrator of Premier Care and Rehab (Premier). Marjorie will oversee the admissions process for new residents, as well as develop the marketing and promotions initiatives.
Thomas Ballard will oversee the growth of the community, day-to-day operations and ensure the care of all residents receiving skilled nursing and rehab care. "We are thrilled and excited to have Marjorie join our team," said Thomas Ballard, administrator of Premier Care and Rehab. "She brings over 18 years of experience in sales and marketing, along with her vivacious spirit and passion for providing care for seniors."
Prior to joining Premier Care, Marjorie van der Wagen was the Director of Community Relations and Marketing for Glendale, Arizona-based Thunderbird Retirement Resort. Marjorie has over a decade of experience working in admissions, marketing and community relations for nursing homes. An ardent supporter of the community, she is active in numerous organizations in the Valley from the Alzheimer's Memory Walk to the friends of the Phoenix Symphony.
Thomas Ballard has been a licensed nursing home administrator for over 15 years, and brings with him a strong background in the healthcare industry. Before becoming a licensed administrator, Thomas served in the Air Force for over two decades and retired in 1994 as a Major. He is a former licensed practical nurse and current certified Assisted Living Manager. He received his Bachelors of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling from Springfield College and his Master of Science in Human Resources Management with a minor in Healthcare Administration from Troy State University.
