Green book teaches kids so they can in turn teach their parents!
The Green Crusaders are a fun way to teach kids about eco-friendly living. Their simple approach and vivid illustrations make it easy and fun for parents to inspire a new ¡°green¡± generation.

GLENDALE, AZ, July 15, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- ¡°The Filaments See the Light¡± is the first in a new series, each written by Gary Hillery (owner, The Green Path Company) and illustrated by Emmy nominated Hollywood artist Jeff West. Both are Arizona residents.

This original series is being created in an attempt to teach children, ages 5 10, simple green living tips. With so much GREEN information circling us today, Gary wanted to offer parents, schools and community members a simple yet effective tool. The first book in the series encourages children to adopt basic green living skills in order to avoid the environmental mistakes of the past.

After reading the book, Gary¡¯s own 3 year old granddaughter quoted concepts while at the grocery store with her father: "Get CFL bulbs, they are from grandpa's story!¡± she piped up. The book works! That is precisely the goal of Gary Hillery and the Green Crusaders ¨C to be a part of making our planet a little better ¨C a little cleaner ¨C for his children¡¯s children; and for theirs.

"The book was awesome. My favorite character was Hydro Hannah. I like that she had blonde hair. I thought the pictures were really cool looking. Right after the story was over I ran to the kitchen to start unplugging the toaster and coffee maker. Mom told me I couldn¡¯t unplug the refrigerator. There are a lot of things I found out, like what can be recycled. I always tell my Mom to turn the water off when we are brushing our teeth. I told my Mom we have to fix the leak in the bath tub.
