MESA, AZ, December 18, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Men and women interested in fitness and self defense can sign up to learn Krav Maga, a popular Israeli self defense system that will be offered every day in January at Laurita Martial Arts Academy in the Basha's Shopping Center, 5115 N. Dysart Road in Litchfield Park.
The class is limited to adults and prospective students must preregister before Dec. 31 by calling Laurita Martial Arts Academy at 623-935-5759, or stopping by the academy.
Krav Maga involves how to escape from a variety of grabs, chokes and headlocks. It also teaches effective striking and kicking while standing up and on the ground.
Krav Maga is known to be one of the most effective fighting systems of self defense in the world. Krav Maga has been taught to Elite special forces units around the world, hundreds of law enforcement agencies, and it is the official hand to hand combat system for the Israeli Defense Forces.
